Pair of ladies' leather shoes, Belgium, London, 1929. Pair of ladies' shoes made from brown glacé kid leather, with a scalloped panel by the bar, of alternating scallops of camel. The button is of pearl with a white metal centre. The shoe is lined with leather and canvas. The label reads 'Handmade in Belgium for Carr Shoe Co, Coventry Street, London, W1.' and is stamped in gold on the inner sole of the shoes. The side is of natural leather with an impressed trademark in the centre of the sole. '371/2' is printed at the side and '802' under the instep. The box (B&C) is of card, covered with bright yellow paper with a grey, printed yellow paper label reading; 'Carr Shoe Company, 16 Coventry Street, Piccadilly Circus, London, W. ESMÉE Size 371/2 fitting 29/11'. The bill is headed 'CARR SHOE CO. 16 COVENTRY STREET, LONDON, W1' and is dated 16/10/1929. Glacé kid leather, pearl and metal button, lined with leather and canvas.
