THE ROLE OF COGNITIVE LINGUISTICS IN LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT

The article provides information on the extent to which cognitive linguistics has been studied by world and Uzbek linguists, its place in linguistics. The formation, roots of cognitive linguistics, and the views of scientists who have taken a worthy place in the history of linguistics on cognitive linguistics are presented. In particular, the views of Tatyana Skrepsova, a professor at St. Petersburg University, who studied cognitive linguistics in a monographic plan, on the topic are analyzed, conclusions and relationships are given. Speaking about the roots of cognitive linguistics, the scientist says that this direction has flourished in Russian linguistics. In addition, the views of Uzbek linguist O. Samiyeva that cognitive linguistics is a direct product of language and thinking are also taken into account. The researcher notes that language and thinking are closely related, that the process in our thinking becomes reality through our language, and that this idea was first substantiated by the great linguist Wilhelm von Humboldt
