THE IMPACT OF GOVERNMENT SUPPORT FOR ETHNIC ROHINGYA IN INDONESIA: FIQH SIYASAH DAULIYAH ANALYSIS

Indonesia has long been helping Rohingya refugees to obtain their human rights, which they did not recieves in their home country of Myanmar. The government, together with the community and humanitarian organizations, have tried to provide protection and security for the Rohingya while residing in Indonesia. Unfortunately, this positive response has been misused to commit violations that hurt the Indonesian state. The purpose of this study is to determine the extent of the impact of government support for ethnic Rohingya in Indonesia and the steps that the government can take according to fiqh siyasah dauliyyah. The research method used is library research from books, journals, and articles that study fiqh siyasah dauliyyah and discuss Rohingya. The results showed that the government's support for the Rohingya had an impact on the increase in the number of Rohingya refugees who came to Indonesia, from 897 people in 2016 to 1,700 people in 2023. This large number is utilized in the criminal act of trafficking in Rohingya refugees and causes social friction with the local community.
