AN ANNOTATED CHECKLIST OF THE IRANIAN CASSIDINAE (COLEOPTERA CHRYSOMELIDAE)

Checklist for the Iranian Cassidinae Gyllenhal (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) is proposed. Based upon a literature review, a total of 47 species within two groups (former Cassidinae and Hispinae) and 13 genera, Cassida Linnaeus (27 species), Chiridula Weise (one species), Hypocassida Weise (2 species), Ischyronota Weise (5 spe-cies), Macromonycha Spaeth (one species), Oocassida Weise (one species), Oxylepus Desbrochers des Loges (one species), Pilemostoma Desbrochers des Loges (one species), Rhytidocassis Spaeth (2 species), Acmenychus Weise (2 species), Dicladispa Gestro (one species), Hispa Linnaeus (2 species), and Rhoptrispa S.-H. Chen & Tan (one species) are given for the Iranian Cassidinae. Among the listed species, Cassida prasina Illiger, 1798 is new record for the fauna of Iran
