World Poet Yunus Emre

Poetry and hymns, with the deep meanings they carry, allow a person to express everything that he wants to say but cannot express or cannot fully express, with words that come from the depths of the soul. Therefore, they have the power to touch the soul of every reader. Many names have written in this genre of literature over the centuries, but only some of them have achieved worldwide fame. Yunus Emre, the classical representative of Turkish poetry, who lived at the end of the 13th century and the beginning of the 14th century, is indeed one of these names. In his poems and hymns, Yunus Emre talks about the essence of human life and Islamic teachings, but presents them to the reader in a simple form. For this reason, ‘Yunus Emre Studies’ carried out in Türkiye in recent years in order to introduce and disseminate Yunus Emre’s humanism, his life and his works to other countries of the world have become increasingly popular. In Mongolia, there is no translation work or research book covering the 13th-14th century Turkish literature period. For this reason, in this study, Yunus Emre’s works, his life and some important studies on his works will be mentioned.
