Yunus Emre

Yunus Emre, a poet from the 13th century, is a significant figure in Turkish literature, who not only laid his legacy in Anatolia during that century but also a representative of Turkish Sufi poetry that began to take shape in Central Asia. His lifestyle, worldview, and the themes he addressed in his poetry have earned him a place in world literature. Yunus, whose life has been the subject of many sources, had his poems translated into various languages. His poems were compared with the poems of foreign poets of his time. In this study, information is provided about Yunus Emre and the themes intimately associated with him through his poetry and the themes derived from his poetry thus, ensuring Yunus Emre is once again comprehensively examined in all aspects.
