A villager, gamayek (Sin.), or a Sanni demon, Sanni muna (Sin.).
Context
The villager is a character in the story portion in Kolam. The Sanni demon is a character in the exorcist ritual called Daha-ata Sanniya (Sin.) (vide Preface).
Material
Wood, vel-kaduru (Sin.) (Nux vomica).
Iconography
The mask is painted in yellowish brown, a dull earthy colour. Short, painted sideburns. The forehead is oblong in shape. Three stumps of teeth are crudely carved.
