Propaganda on tehnyt näyttävän paluun digitaalisessa mediaympäristössä. Nykyaikainen digitaalinen propaganda on usein muodoltaan hajautettua ja osallistavaa, eli siihen voivat osallistua tavalliset somekäyttäjät kotisohviltaan. Propaganda on edelleen myös strategista ja tavoitteellista, orgaanisen oloisten kampanjoiden taustalla voi olla vuosien huolellista suunnittelua. Tässä artikkelissa tarkastellaan digiajan propagandaoperaatioita, joihin osallistuvat perinteisten valtiotoimijoiden ohella esimerkiksi somevaikuttajat, järjestöt ja media.
