The Seat of Wm Pratt Esq. at Bayham Abby, Sussex, 1783

This mansion stands on the former estate of Bayham Abbey, one of the most impressive monastic ruins in Sussex. This house was erected in the Tudor period on a hilltop, just above the lake created out of a dammed stream. As can be seen in the picture, it has a symmetrical grey front and two identical gables.
