Ritva Niskala työskenteli useissa kirjastoalan tehtävissä Namibiassa vuosina 2001–2021. Tässä artikkelissa Niskala muistelee viimeisiä työvuosiaan 2013–2021, jolloin hän toimi Namibian yliopiston kirjaston apulaisjohtajana. Noina vuosina Namibian yliopisto kävi läpi laajan muutosprosessin, jossa myös kirjaston palvelut muuttuivat ja kehittyivät vastaamaan modernin tutkimuskirjaston vaatimuksia.
