A Study on the Correlation between Wendao文道 theory and Liyue禮樂 production in Jeong Do-jeon thought

Zhou Dun-Yi周敦頥 頥 established the desirable relationship between Dao道 and Wen文 as theory of literature as the vehicle of the Way載道論. After that, the theory of literature as the vehicle of the Way established itself as the dominant theory of literary theory through Chengi程頥 頥 and Zhuxi朱熹. Jeong Do-jeon鄭道傳 is active in the 14th century and accepts theory of literature as the vehicle of the Way, but shows shows the characteristic of expanding the theory of the song era. Jeong Do-jeon uses the theory of literature as the vehicle of the Way in terms of the production of Liyue禮樂 and criticism of heresy, defining the core of the humanities as the creation of poetry. Accordingly, Jeong Do-jeon actually organizes laws and creates poetry and music, and conducts activities in various ways. In this process, Jeong Do-jeon expands the theory of literature as the vehicle of the Way by explaining the scholar士 as the creative subject of the humanities. In addition, Jeong Do-jeon reveals an idea to innovate the social problems of the late Goryeo Dynasty by integrating the morality of the Song Dynasty with the production of Liyue in the early Ming Dynasty.
