Clinical Study to Evaluate Efficacy of External Application of Vachadi Ghrita in Karshya in Children
View through CrossRef
Ayurveda, the age-old science of longevity, provides a unique approach to treating ailments in children. It prioritizes avoiding disease than treating it. Appropriate dietary guidelines and a well-balanced diet can help prevent many common health problems. Food is significant since it is associated with an individual’s strength. The adverse consequences of the disease can result in a decrease of strength during the post-treatment period. Defective ahara and vihara are the root cause of all disorders. Ahara vidhi is essential to making the most of ahara. It is estimated that childhood malnutrition accounts for 20% of all disability-adjusted life years lost in children worldwide and 35% of deaths in children under the age of five. Karshya can be brought on by fasting, eating too little, eating too many dry foods (bread, biscuits, rusks, namkeen, etc.), and psychological elements including anger, fear, and grief. This will lead to Agnimandya. It results in the formation of improper ahararasa. Children develop karshya because they are unable to get enough nutrients from it. During Ashtang Hridya, children with karshya are treated with External Application of Vachadi Ghrita in Uttar Pradesh’s Balamaypratishh Adhyaya. The clinical efficacy of Yashtimadhvadi ghrita in Karshya in children is being examined in this study.
