ONLINE DISINHIBITION EFFECT PADA ANGGOTA KOMUNITAS MARAH-MARAH DI PLATFORM X (STUDI DESKRIPTIF)

View through CrossRef
This study aims to decribes online disinhibition effect behaviors among members of the “Marah-Marah” community on the X platform. The research employed a quantitative descriptive method. The sample consisted of 89 participants who were active members of the “Marah-Marah” community on the X platform and were at least 18 years old. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The online disinhibition effect was measured using a scale developed by the researcher, based on the seven dimensions of online disinhibition proposed by Suler (2004), namely dissociative anonymity, invisibility, asynchronicity, solipsistic introjection, dissociative imagination, and minimization of authority. The results showed that the online disinhibition effect among members of the “Marah-Marah” community on the X platform was at a moderate level, with an empirical mean score of 96.55. This indicates that the participants in this study tend to exhibit online disinhibition, although still at a moderate level.
