Le rivincite di Luigi Ferdinando Marsili

View through CrossRef
This short introduction to the group of papers on Luigi Ferdinando Marsili that appear in this first issue of the Accademia Annales, Class of Moral Science, points out the need to continue the studies on Marsili, on the Institute and its Academy, in view of the third centenary of his death (2030). I intended to emphasize in the simplest and shortest way the outstanding results (revenges) that Marsili’s studies and initiatives have given to the growth of modern science, but above all the stimulus that the establishment of the Science Institute and the Academy activities have given to the scientific technical and cultural innovation process of which the University and its town benefited for their growth and positioning in the international scenario.
