Moderasi Beragama Dalam Keragaman Indonesia

The Indonesian nation is a society rich in cultural diversity. This diversity includes differences in culture, religion, race, language, ethnicity, traditions and many other aspects. In a multicultural society like this, tensions and conflicts often occur between cultural groups which can threaten harmonious living together. The aim of this research is to review cultural diversity in Indonesia, the importance of religious moderation in the context of this diversity, and the role played by religious counselors in realizing peace amidst this diversity. The method used in this research is library research, which includes collecting and analyzing literature related to the topics discussed. The results of this study show that in multicultural life, it is important to have a deep understanding of cultural diversity and have a strong awareness of the importance of respecting differences, diversity, and a willingness to interact with everyone fairly. An attitude of religious moderation is the key in dealing with this diversity, which includes recognition of the existence of other parties, a tolerant attitude towards differences of opinion, and respect for the diversity of religions and beliefs. Violent actions should not be a way to resolve conflicts. Apart from that, the role of the government, community leaders and religious counselors is very important in socializing and developing attitudes of religious moderation among society. They can play a role in educating the public about the importance of intercultural cooperation and encouraging constructive dialogue to achieve harmony and peace in the diversity that exists in Indonesia. Thus, joint efforts from all levels of society, supported by a deep understanding of cultural diversity and an attitude of religious moderation, can help create a harmonious and peaceful environment amidst the diversity that is one of the characteristics of the Indonesian nation.Keywords: Cultural Diversity; moderation; religious.
