Vladimir Wagner – founder of the journal Priroda

The Russian popular science journal Priroda was launched over a century ago with direct participation of its first Editor-in-Chief, zoologist Vladimir Wagner. Very little is known about the life of this scientist. This paper is an attempt to add new and unknown pages to the biography of Vladimir Wagner, as well as an opportunity to look at the history of the journal Priroda more closely.
