New Productive Forces in Standardized Forage Cultivation:A Novel Pathway Leading the Green Transformation of Saline-Alkali Land
View through CrossRef
Saline-alkali land remediation remains a global challenge. As a special land resource on Earth, Saline- alkali land has long hindered the sustainable development of agricultural production and ecological environments. This study aims to explore the innovative application and practical effectiveness of developing new quality productivity through standardized forage cultivation as a new ecological remediation strategy for saline-alkali land improvement, emphasizing its role in advancing high-quality development of saline-alkali areas and realizing the vision of “transforming saline-alkali land into valuable assets” through green resource transformation. By analyzing the current status and challenges of saline-alkali land remediation in Shaanxi Province, this paper proposes herbaceous plant cultivation as a natural remediation method. It demonstrates its unique advantages in enhancing soil quality, promoting biodiversity, and driving diversified local economic development. In conclusion, standardized forage cultivation, through innovative ecological strategies, achieves green transformation of saline-alkali land. This approach not only effectively utilizes and improves idle saline-alkali land resources to safeguard national food security but also provides a “Chinese solution” for global saline-alkali land remediation, showcasing China's responsibility and commitment in addressing global environmental challenges.
