RESEARCH ON CROSS-CULTURAL COMMUNICATION OF CHINESE SHORT VIDEO BY FOREIGN BLOGGERS

View through CrossRef
Abstracts: The emergence of social media and short-video platforms has given rise to a group of foreign content creators who disseminate content about China and Chinese culture through short videos, facilitating cross-cultural communication between China and other countries. These foreign creators, with their substantial follower bases, publish a large volume of short videos on overseas platforms, attracting widespread attention and discussion among domestic and international audiences. Their Chinese short videos cover a diverse range of themes, primarily focusing on China-related topics, supplemented by content about their home countries and comparative cultural analyses. The cross-cultural adaptation process of these foreign creators evolves from initial understanding to appreciation, imitation, and ultimately successful integration into Chinese society. Research indicates that these creators not only possess strong cross-cultural communication skills but also demonstrate effective cross-cultural dissemination capabilities.
