View through CrossRef
Abstract. Based on the analysis of psychological and pedagogical research we consider the features of pedagogical support for the self-realization of foreign students in a Russian university such as: dependence of the humanitarian strategy of education and process of personal and professional development, implementation of adaptation functions, complementarity of psychological characteristics of foreign students, integration of different areas of pedagogical support, etc. As a result of the research, developed theoretical model of pedagogical support for self-realization of foreign students in a Russian university includes five main blocks. Concept and target block contains the goal of achieving a high level of self-realization of foreign students in a Russian university, methodological approaches – systemic, axiological, subjective-activity, reflective and environmental, principles: initiative and activity, personalization, continuity and tradition, consistency and progression of intercultural interaction. Structural and content block includes the definition of the concept of “self-realization of foreign students in a Russian university” and the components of self-realization: value, target, resource and conative. Organizational and activity block contains a Program of pedagogical support for self-realization of foreign students, as well as technologies, forms, methods of its implementation. Determinant block consists of factors (need of foreign students for personal development; value-semantic attitude of foreign students to self-realization; satisfaction with interpersonal relationships in a new socio-cultural environment) and conditions (ensuring social integration; maintaining a multicultural educational environment of the university; actualization of subject-subject relations of all participants in the educational process) that determine the process of self-realization of foreign students. Efficient and diagnostic block consists of criteria for self-realization: axiological, efficient, competence, behavioral and levels of its development: unproductive, productive, productive at a medium level, productive at a high level.
