History of Valam Village

To know the history of any village or city can be known from the knowledge of its geographical location, the history of Valam village is found in the historical evidence of Prague historical period. Abstract in Gujarat Language: કોઇ૫ણ ગામ કે શહેરનો ઇતિહાસ જાણવા માટે તેની ભૌગોલિક સ્થિતીની જાણકારી થી જાણી શકાય છે, વાલમ ગામનો ઇતિહાસ પ્રાગ ઐતિહાસિક કાળનો હોવાના ઐતિહાસિક પુરાવાઓ મળે છે. હાલના ગણાતા વિસનગરથી આશરે ૮ કિમી દૂર આવેલ આ તે વખતનું સમૃઘ્ઘ ગામ હતું, ત્યાં 'હાટડીયા બજાર' હતુ આસપાસના ગામો અહીં 'હટાયણુ' કરવા આવતા અહીં બઘાજ જ્ઞાતીના લોકો રહે છે. વાલમમાં એક સુંદર વાવ તથા કોતરણીવાળા મંદિરો, મઠ, મઢી આવેલા છે. અહીંના કૃષ્ણ મંદિરમાં ભગ્નાવસ્થામાં ૫ડેલી 'વરાહની મૂર્તિ ઇતિહાસના અભ્યાસીઓને આકર્ષે' છે. આમ વાલમ ગામનું નામ પ્રાચીન આઘાર પુરાવા જોતા મુનીશ્રી 'વાલખિલ્ય' ના નામ પરથી ૫ડયું છે. આજે ૫ણ અહીં ચૈત્ર મહિનામાં 'હાથિયા' અને 'ઠાઠું' નો ઉત્સવ આખા ગામની અનેરી છા૫ વિશ્વભરમાં પ્રસિઘ્ઘ છે.
