Conclusion

Abstract The conclusion provides a review that both summarizes the main contributions of the book while showing how they all fit together. These contributions include: a pluralist account of epistemic agency and injustice that identifies their non-propositional, experiential (practical, tacit, embodied, and affective) dimensions in addition to their propositional ones; a structural explanation of epistemic agency that identifies its individual and structural dimensions; the concepts of meta-epistemic injustice; of testimonial and hermeneutical domination, of epistemic affordances, disaffordances, dysaffordances, and misaffordances, of meta-epistemic filters, of linguistic epistemic injustice, of existential hermeneutical injustice; a detailed account of hermeneutical breakthroughs and their connection to transformative experience and epistemic empowerment; and a systematic account of epistemic power, including epistemic power-to, power-over, and power-with.
