Hubungan Antara Intensitas Menonton Konten Fashion Tiktok Terhadap Gaya Berpakaian Remaja

Abstract. This study aims to determine the relationship between the intensity of watching fashion content on TikTok and teenagers' clothing styles. The research focuses on the TikTok account @kent.hadi, which frequently shares various fashion inspirations and is widely followed by young users. This research uses a quantitative approach with a correlational method involving 112 respondents. The instrument used was a questionnaire covering four dimensions of intensity: attention, engagement, duration, and frequency. The results show a positive and significant relationship between the intensity of watching fashion content on TikTok and the clothing styles of teenagers. These findings support new media theory, which states that social media, especially TikTok, serves as a space for identity formation and lifestyle development among today’s youth.
Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara intensitas menonton konten fashion TikTok dengan gaya berpakaian remaja. Fokus penelitian ini diarahkan pada akun TikTok @kent.hadi yang menyajikan berbagai inspirasi gaya berpakaian yang banyak diikuti oleh kalangan remaja. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional dan melibatkan 112 responden. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner yang mencakup empat dimensi intensitas, yaitu perhatian, penghayatan, durasi, dan frekuensi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara intensitas menonton konten fashion TikTok dan gaya berpakaian remaja. Temuan ini memperkuat teori media baru yang menyatakan bahwa media sosial, khususnya TikTok, menjadi ruang pembentukan identitas dan gaya hidup remaja masa kini..
