MENDU, BUDAYA TRADISIONAL NATUNA YANG DITINGGALKAN

Abstract  This research is expected to foster a love for the Malay community, especially among the students of SMAN 1 Cemaga, towards the cultural heritage of Natuna. This way, it can continue to thrive among the younger generation. The method used in this research is a survey and the distribution of questionnaires. The study took place in South Bunguran Regency, precisely at SMAN 1 South Bunguran, and was conducted from August 8, 2022, to the completion of the 20th-anniversary celebration of STAI Natuna.  The data analysis technique employed in this research is an interactive model with two components: Data Presentation and Drawing Conclusions. The research yielded several results within the context of Mendu Theater, including: 1) Mendu Theater as a Moral Message, 2) Mendu Theater in the Context of Religious Propagation, 3) Mendu Theater in the Social Context, 4) Mendu Theater in the Context of Clean Governance, and 5) Perspectives of SMAN 1 South Bunguran Students on Mendu.   Key Words: Mendu, Traditional Culture    Abstrak  Penelitian ini diharapkan mampu menumbuhkan ras cinta kepada masyarakat melayu khususnya siswa SMAN 1 cemaga terhadap khazanah kebudayaan melayu yang ada di Natuna sehingga dapat terus eksis dikalangan muda sa.at ini, Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini ialah survey dan menggunakan penyebaran angket. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kabupaten Bunguran Selatan tepatnya di SMAN 1 Bunguran Selatan, dan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 8 Agustus 2022 – selesai dalam rangka Milad STAI Natuna ke 20 th. Sedangkan teknis analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model interaktif yang memiliki dua komponen yaitu ; Sajian Data dan Penarikan Kesimpulan. Pada penelitian ini diperoleh hasil mendu dalam konteks; 1) Teater Mendu Dalam Kontek Sebagai Pesan Moral, 2) Teater Mendu Dalam Konteks Penyebaran Agama, 3) Teater Mendu Dalam Kontek Sosial, 4) Teater Mendu Dalam Kontek pemerintah yang bersih, 5) Mendu menurut pendapat Siswa SMAN 1 Bunguran Selatan.  Kata Kunci: Mendu, Budaya Tradisional
