O artigo intenta analisar as representações femininas na obra Memorial de Maria Moura, de Rachel de Queiroz. O livro, lançado em 1992, centra-se na narrativa de Maria Moura, personagem do século XIX. A obra apresenta diferentes vozes narrativas, Maria Moura e a personagem Marialva são duas dentre essas diversas instâncias, que, no entanto, tornam-se as mais significativas.
