FEDERATIVE RENDERING CONCEPT

View through CrossRef
Recently, situations have increasingly arisen when the customer needs to conduct optical modeling or rendering of scenes that represent a trade secret. Therefore, the customer is not ready to share scene data with the owners of software for realistic rendering systems, and he is also not ready to purchase expensive software. Thus, a problem arises when the customer of the rendering service is afraid of data leaks, and the software developer is worried about the pirated use of an expensive realistic rendering system. As a result, a task arises when it is required to render scenes without transferring the software to the customer and without providing the scene to the software owners. In this paper, we consider the solution to this dilemma through the use of federated rendering methods, when all the data remains completely on the side of the rendering customer, and the entire rendering process is managed by the owners of the realistic rendering system. As part of the study, federated rendering using forward and reverse ray tracing methods was implemented, and the results of rendering and their comparison with the results of using a traditional realistic rendering system were presented.
