Fuchsia pink plastic bag, maker unknown, UK, ca. 1960. Tall upright and solid bag possibly made from a toughened form of card or plastic and covered on the outside with a fuchsia pink plastic. Inside, the bag is lined with a white plastic material. The bag has been constructed using a series of folds and rivets, originally from a single flat piece, pink on one side, white on the other. The base of the bag has been folded and secured with brass rivets as has the proper right hand side of the bag. The top of the bag has a brass fastening and the lid opens upwards. It is pierced with two further rivets which hold a retractable looped handle in place.
