The book narrates the impact of Alisher Navo’i’s works on Uzbek poets. In order to challenge their talents Uzbek poets used to imitate works of the great poet. The book displays discussions on manuscript copying traditions and scribes’ odes dedicated to Navo’i. The book displays the role of Alisher Navo’i in the cultural life of the Uzbek people, by means of the works of Uzbek poets from Kattakurgan region, that used to be a part of Bukhara in the 19th century.
