By considering Hedayat as a modern Persian dervish, we read Hedayat's works in the context of Persian Sufi literature and learn that Hedayat's endeavor to recover Iranian traditional culture and his adoption of traditional Persian literary skills have successfully made him an outstanding Iranian writer among his contemporaries in World Literature.
