Nicholas Day, aged 16 from Brighton, will be the 1,000th "Little Brother" to sail to Australia since 1947 under the auspices of the Big Brother Youth Migration Movement. Nicholas and 39 other boys , all bound for Australia, will be fare welled at Australia House by the High Commissioner, Sir Thomas White. To mark the occasion, Nicholas' mother will be presented with an inscribed book about New South Wales by the NSW Agent General in London, Mr J M Tully. Photo shows.
