Motives of Turkic Folklore in “Kutadgu Bilig”

“Kutadgu bilig” is one of the most ancient monuments of Turkic written literature. However, talking about its importance only for the interests of the Turkic peoples would be one-sided. Such works belong to all mankind. So such works’ importance is universal. In 11th century, Turkic literature, including “Kutadgu bilig”, emerged in extremely complex historical, economic, political and cultural conditions.During this period, the ancient beliefs of the Turkic peoples, as well as the traditions of the ancient Turkic script, as well as the Islamic culture, which came under the influence of Persian-Tajik literature, intersected, and the traditions of folklore’s reputation was also strong. Therefore, in the work there are sometimes strong and sometimes imperceptible traces of several different traditions. In “Kutadgu bilig” the most important features of a great literature, folklore, which has centuries-old traditions, are reflected as a whole. Naturally, such a situation cannot be a coincidence. Indeed, many writers who lived and worked before Yusuf Has Hajib must have produced many of the works they created. The importance of the same points motivates us to do this.
