Antonina Domańska – Sketch for a Portrait This essay is an attempt to recall Antonina Domańska and her works. The reconstruction of the biography of the writer was based on diary materials, private letters and statements of witnesses of the epoch. Domańska is shown as a personality wrongly entangled in the framework set by the reception of Stanisław Wyspiański’s masterpiece The Wedding. Her story proves to be an interesting contribution to the history of Krakow at the end of the 19th century.
