Wear study of modified powder coatings during sliding friction under conditions of low climate temperatures

View through CrossRef
A test bench for the wear testing of powder coatings and metal counterbodies under conditions of low climatic ambient temperatures has been developed and manufactured. Thermophysical measurements of operation of a friction unit «powder coating-counterbody» in cold conditions were carried out. Testing for sliding friction wear of modified powder coatings at low climatic temperatures was performed. Corundum Al2O3 and ultrafine spinels CoAl2O4 and CuAl2O4 were used as modifying additives for wear-resistant powder coatings. For friction counterbodies-pads made of ordinary and hardened steel of the ShKh15 grade were used.
Title: Wear study of modified powder coatings during sliding friction under conditions of low climate temperatures
