Greek landscape

View through Europeana Collections
The works of Sotirios Michou from the collection of the MOMus Museum of Contemporary Art illuminate the artist's artistic career from 1960 to 2007 and belong to the sections: Flowers/Blumen, Cat, Landscape, Greek Landscape and Poethen. His early artistic activity includes drawings, watercolours, small paintings and collages. His painting compositions then become more abstract with geometric elements and he also creates a series of landscapes with strong expressionistic landscapes. At the same time, he is involved in photography and ceramics, creating mixed media works of polaroid and collage. He later introduces the use of discourse in several works, either in short references or in full-length texts in which concepts, ideas and images create single organic sets.
