The riddle of Psalm 111

View through CrossRef
Abstract This chapter pays tribute to Fishbane's extraordinary philological and literary skills. Arguing on the basis of careful textual analysis as well as inner-biblical interpretation, it urges reconsideration of the classification of Psalm 111. Psalm 111 is seen as a ‘riddle psalm’ within the larger category of Torah psalms rather than as a historical psalm.
