This volume of the Roman Provincial Coinage series deals with provincial coins from the reigns of Gordian I and Gordian II (March–April 238), Pupienus and Balbinus (April–July 238), and Gordian III (238–244). The first volume on the coinage of this period was published in 2006 and presented coins from various centres of the province of Asia.1 This book comes as the second part, examining coinages from the remaining provinces, from the Balkans to Mesopotamia, Syria, Arabia and Egypt.
