Czech Refugees

View through Europeana Collections
Often German guards find traces of people having crossed the frontier during the night, like this torn bit of a Czech magazine. Escaping Czechs sometimes slip across the frontier on their way West, and Germans and Czechs of German origin regularly cross over, either expelled or fleeing before worse befalls them than confiscation of their property.
