After Aeneas has returned to the Upperworld, he raises a ‘tumulus ‘ for the burial of his nurse Caieta, sails past the island of ‘Circe ‘, and reaches ‘Latium ‘. The landmarks are a curved elevation ( ‘tumulus ‘), the abode of ‘Circe ‘ [Circle], and the shaded mouth of the Tiber [Cavity).
