Existentialism, Christian

View through CrossRef
Abstract To speak of Christian existentialism implies that there is a non‐Christian existentialism; and while existentialism as a philosophical movement has often been criticized as too religious or theological for a philosophical enterprise, many existentialists would likely dismiss the very notion of a Christian existentialism. That said, existentialists — as one of the defining characteristics of the movement — also typically deny the label or classification of “existentialism.” To this end, existentialism (Christian or otherwise) can be difficult to define.
