French, c.1860, published in the Belgian edition of Le Journal des Dames et des Demoiselles. Two women and a young girl in an interior. Seated to the left, a woman in a black and green silk day dress and matching bonnet, holding a doll on a small table. The doll is dressed as a peasant woman in a shepherdess hat, black cloak, apron and short striped petticoat. A small girl in a white dress with blue trimmings in the foreground, back view.
