Chastity

Abstract
Chastity is the virtue that moderates our sexual desires. Being chaste is not the same as successfully resisting the urges of improper sexual desires (that would be continence); it is instead to not feel these desires to begin with. Thus, a chaste person does not sexually desire what is wrong. If having the virtues is necessary or needed for human beings to lead good, flourishing lives, having chastity is part of leading a good life. Assuming that we all want to lead good lives, then we all have good reason to be chaste.
