Pengaruh Work Life Integration terhadap Burnout Mahasiswa Kedokteran di RS X

Abstract. With the rapid development of the professional world, the complexity of challenges and job demands has continued to increase, including in the field of medicine. Medical students, as future healthcare professionals, are in a vulnerable position to experience burnout due to their direct involvement in medical services during training, high academic workload, and the demand to provide optimal care for patients. In this context, the ability to achieve work-life integration plays a crucial role in managing pressure, minimizing emotional exhaustion, and maintaining psychological well-being. This study aims to examine the effect of work-life integration on burnout among medical students at Hospital X. The research employed a quantitative method. The hypothesis proposed that work-life integration has an effect on burnout. The subjects were 38 medical students at Hospital X, with instruments consisting of the Work Life Integration Scale (S. Kumar & S. Sarkar, 2021) and the Indonesian version of the Maslach Burnout Inventory-HSS (Yulianto, 2020). Data were analyzed using simple linear regression. The findings revealed that work-life integration significantly influenced burnout in a negative direction, with a coefficient of 27.1%.
Abstrak. Seiring dengan pesatnya perkembangan dunia kerja, kompleksitas permasalahan dan tuntutan profesi semakin meningkat, termasuk pada bidang kedokteran. Mahasiswa kedokteran sebagai calon tenaga kesehatan berada pada posisi yang rentan mengalami burnout karena keterlibatan langsung dalam pelayanan medis sejak masa pendidikan, beban akademik yang tinggi, serta tuntutan memberikan pelayanan optimal. Dalam kondisi tersebut, kemampuan work life integration berperan penting untuk membantu mengelola tekanan, meminimalkan kelelahan emosional, dan menjaga kesejahteraan psikologis. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh work life integration terhadap burnout pada mahasiswa kedokteran di RS X. Metode penelitian pada penelitian ini yaitu kuantitatif. Hipotesis penelitian menyatakan bahwa terdapat pengaruh work life integration terhadap burnout. Subjek penelitian adalah 38 mahasiswa kedokteran di RS X dengan instrumen berupa skala Work Life Integration (S. Kumar & S. Sarkar, 2021) dan Maslach Burnout Inventory-HSS versi Bahasa Indonesia (Yulianto, 2020). Analisis data menggunakan regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa work life integration berpengaruh signifikan terhadap burnout dengan arah negatif dan koefisien sebesar 27,1%.
