SOCIAL MOBILITY PATTERNS IN URBAN COMMUNITIES

View through CrossRef
The impact of globalization on social change is part of global developments that are inevitable from time to time. However, these changes become a problem when they cause negative consequences in various aspects. Limited facilities and infrastructure and a lack of jobs in the village caused villagers to move to other areas. This journal aims to analyze and understand patterns of social mobility in urban communities and their implications for social development. Social mobility is changing the social status of individuals or groups in society that involves vertical movement between social layers. This research attempts to answer the question of how patterns of social mobility occur in urban society, what factors influence it, and what impact it has on social equality. The research method used in this journal is a qualitative research method of identification by conducting literature analysis and interviews related to patterns of social mobility. The research respondents comprised individuals from various social strata in urban society, namely Am (indigenous people) and Ag (urban people). The collected data is analyzed using interpretive analysis techniques to understand the meaning behind social mobility and the factors that influence it. The research respondents comprised individuals from various social strata in urban society, namely Am (indigenous people) and Ag (urban people). The collected data is analyzed using interpretive analysis techniques to understand the meaning behind social mobility and the factors that influence it. The study results show that various patterns of social mobility occur in urban communities, which are influenced by several factors, including education, economy, employment, and access to resources and social networks. The results of this research can be the basis for formulating more effective strategic policies in increasing social mobility and reducing social inequality in urban areas. This research is also a foundation for further research on social mobility in an increasingly complex context.
