Application of Casing Elastic Anticorrosive Centralizer in CO2 Injection and Production Wells

Abstract
Casing centralizer is mostly made of metal materials, which will accelerate casing outer wall corrosion during use, especially in severe corrosion environment such as CO2 injection and production Wells. In order to slow down the corrosion of steel casing centralizer on casing outer wall, the elastic anticorrosive centralizer made of high-strength polyester material with anti-CO2 corrosion function can not only reduce the damage to casing outer wall coating, but also avoid galvanic corrosion. The centralizer features hollow holding ends containing built-in corrosion inhibitors and self-healing agents. When the highly mineralized formation water invades and CO2 escapes, the active components will be slowly released, and the casing outer wall (protective film) and cement sheath (network solidified body) will be anticorrosive respectively, and the functions of both cementing and casing cement sheath anticorrosion will be implemented.The reset force and starting force comply with the GB/T 19831.1-2005 standard. The elastic anticorrosive centralizer provides a new idea and technical support for improving the integrity of wellbore seal in CO2 injection and production Wells.
