View through CrossRef
Abstrat. Introduction. In the world, in recent years, various aesthetic surgical procedures have become more and more popular among different segments of the population. According to statistics from the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), this aesthetic surgical procedure took second place (2,174,616) after liposuction (2,303,929) in terms of plastic surgery performed on the mammary glands. In Ukraine, plastic surgery on the mammary glands in women is also very popular. In recent years, the number of aesthetic surgeries for cosmetic defects of the mammary glands has increased 3 times. One of the aesthetic defects of the mammary glands is mastoptosis. This is the prolapse of the mammary glands due to natural or genetically determined causes. It is accompanied by deformation of the glands, loss of elasticity, fat imbalance, which cannot be corrected by physical exercises, but only by surgical aesthetic correction. The aim: to review research on methods of surgical correction of mastoptosis of the mammary glands, based on theoretical and clinical material for solving aesthetic problems. Material and methods. The review of the leading studies was based on the identification of scientific publications in the search engine for biomedical research PubMed, as well as in the free access of Google Scholar, devoted to the study of surgical methods during the aesthetic procedure on the mammary glands. Considerable attention is paid to the search and analysis of scientific publications that highlight methods of correction of aesthetic surgical interventions on the mammary glands in order to eliminate the problem. Results and discussion. Mastoptosis of the mammary glands is a common symptom for women of all ages and can cause significant stress in everyday life. The degree of mastoptosis is determined according to the Regnault classification, according to which the breast is evaluated by the relative position of the nipple relative to the inframammary fold. To achieve excellent surgical results and high patient satisfaction It is important to assess the degree of breast ptosis and the choice of appropriate techniques for mastopexy, as well as the role of the interdisciplinary team during the initial examination, treatment and postoperative recovery of patients. Conclusion. The analysis of theoretical and clinical material made it possible to establish that in the case of severe mastoptosis of the mammary glands, various methods can be used, both one-stage, two-stage mastopexy and augmentation mammoplasty. Based on the analyzed literature sources and the search for effective methods of surgical correction in case of severe mastoptosis of the mammary glands, we can to note that the topic is relevant and requires further in-depth study of this issue.
