This polychrome vase was excavated by the Belgian expedition. It was found in a cist in Kalleh Nisar (Luristan), dating to the first half of the third millennium. It was in use until the first half of the second millennium. The polychrome ware is a local variation of the so-called scarlet ware of the Diyala region (Mesopotamia). It is dated between 2900 and 2600 BCE. Characteristic of this pottery is the division into metopes and the position of the figurative images at the lower part of the vase.
