Urgensi Kepribadian dalam Teori Pemilihan Karir Holland: A Systematic Literature Review

Holland's career selection theory is one of the influential theories and is often used by researchers and practitioners in the world. This theory makes personality the main aspect in individual career selection that is adjusted to the characteristics of the work environment. The purpose of this research is to conduct a systematic and in-depth study on the importance and influence of personality as the main aspect in Holland's career selection. The method of this research is systematic literature review. The systematic literature review uses the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) standard, where this review goes through the stages of identification, screening, suitability and inclusion. Literature search sources were collected through Scopus and Web of Science.  The results of the in-depth systematic literature review drew the conclusion that personality has great urgency in Holland's career choice. Where this personality affects individuals in various aspects, both before choosing a career and also when already in a career. Therefore, based on this research, counselors in conducting career counseling with Holland's theory should be able to encourage students to identify validly and carefully about their personality for the sake of compatibility with the work environment.
