The plan represents the iron works of Sargadelos founded by D. Antonio Ibáñez, Marqués de Sargadelos. By Royal Decree of 1791 he is granted permission for the establishment of one or more ironworks within the diocese of Mondoñedo. From that same year the works began and at the end of 1791 the works indicated in the plan were finished. The Royal Factories of Sargadelos were in fact the first Spanish ovens and a key piece at the beginning of the modern steel in Spain.
