ANALYSIS OF BALAGHAT SAHIH IN AL-MUWATTA’ IMAM MALIK IBN ANAS

The sanads of the hadith that are narrated in balaghat, are usually considered to be daif because the sanad is clearly disconnected. Words from al-balagh derivatives (البلاغ) such as balaghani or balaghahu are not in the category of sighah al-Tahammul which is strong to justify the hadith maqbul, in theory. As a result, it challenged the status of the hadith and its authority as a postulate even though the narration of the balaghat came from a great scholar such as Imam Malik Ibn Anas. This study will be devoted to the Ummah figure, Imam Malik and his work, Al-Muwatta'. This article aims to analyze the status of the balaghat narrations in the book al-Muwatta' Imam Malik, on two selected hadiths. This study is a qualitative study that uses a content analysis design. Information and data were collected from the analysis of documents on the primary hadith books, Syarah hadith, commentaries of Muhaqqiq and hadith scholars, especially involving Al-Muwatta' Imam Malik. Then, it is analyzed inductively and deductively. The results of the study found that the characteristics that justify it as an authentic balaghat in Al-Muwatta' include the presence of a fully connected sanad, Imam Malik did not narrate alone, and it is found in hadith books other than Al-Muwatta'. In conclusion, it shows the uniqueness of Al-Muwatta' Malik who has his own manhaj of writing, although there is little criticism in some parts.
