Department of Drawings Royal Cortissoz sold; to Grenville L. Winthrop February 1934 [1] bequest; to the Fogg Art Museum 1943 [1] Winthrop purchased this drawing from Cortissoz who was in need of money or as he put it "a rescue in a moment of trouble."
