आधुनिक संस्कृत साहित्य में राष्ट्रवादी चेतना का सशक्त एवं कलात्मक प्रतिपादन करने वाली कृतियों में अम्बिकादत्त व्यास विरचित शिवराजविजय का स्थान अत्यन्त महत्त्वपूर्ण है। यह कृति ऐतिहासिक उपन्यास के रूप में संस्कृत साहित्य को न केवल नवीन विधागत स्वरूप प्रदान करती है, अपितु उन्नीसवीं शताब्दी के उत्तरार्द्ध में विकसित भारतीय राष्ट्रीय चेतना, सांस्कृतिक पुनर्जागरण तथा स्वाधीनता-आकाङ्क्षा को भी सशक्त अभिव्यक्ति देती है। प्रस्तुत शोधपत्र में शिवराजविजय में निहित राष्ट्रवाद के विविध आयामों राजनीतिक, सांस्कृतिक, धार्मिक एवं भावनात्मकता का विश्लेषण किया गया है।
